Letters From the Community
From The Community Food Bank
Dear Valley Animal Hospital,
Thank you so much for joining the fight against hunger with your gift of 3,618 pounds of food received by the Community Food Bank on 11/21/2005. Each year community members like you help us with donations of more that a million pounds of food.
Much of this donated food is distributed though emergency food boxes. A small percentage of this food goes out to local agencies that offer free feeding programs. All of the food finds a home the Tucson's hungry people.
The total amount of food distributed throught the Community Food Bank increased 2% last year, while 14.7% of Pima County residents live at the Federal poverty level. More than 120,000 people live below the poverty level. Your gift of food helps them make it through the day.
Without your help, we could not achieve our mission.
Thank you,

Re: Everyday Heros Event
Thank you so much for your participation in our community event, Everyday Heros, on Saturday, March 1, 2008! We have heard many favorable comments from those who attended. As you are well aware, there is no way that we could have pulled this event off without your dedication, energy and involvement-you made it the success it was!! We figure that we had approximatedly 500 people in attendance, and since this was a first time event for us, we were delighted!!
We do plan on sponsoring a 2nd Everyday Heroes Event in Spring on 2009, and we have lots of plans for adding even more activities and booths! We will definately contact you when that date is set!!
Again, Thank you for being there, providing resouces and pouring into the lives of the children and families in our community!!
Sincerely,
Robin
